Clay Mitchell Blanksby Rouget Gaudion Read Dike Wandin Doncaster Petrockstowe Keithhall

William Mitchell was born in 1830 in Keithhall, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. He arrived in Australia in 1853. He was a miner in Ballarat and in the 1860's moved to the Bulleen area where he rented a farming property. He married Mary Anne Clay on 18 May 1865 in the Clay home, Doncaster.  In 1874 they shifted to Wandin where they bought land and continued their farming. William died in 1890 in Wandin Yallock.

Mary Anne Clay was born in 1839 in Petrockstowe. After Wiiliam died she continued to run the farm and bought an adjoining property.  Mary Anne died in 1932 in Wandin.

They had nine children: Agnes Jane, Eliza Kate Milne, Mary Helena, William Frederick, Robert John, Isabella Clare, James Adam, Edwin Charles, and Wilhelmina Emily.

Agnes married Daniel Henry Gaudion in Wandin Yallock. They had one child: Daniel Henry.

Eliza married Alfred Rouget in Wandin Yallock. They had 12 children: Alfred Edwin, Eliza Kate, Samuel James, Frank William, May Clara, George Albert, Eva Hilda, Caroline Esther, Isobel Margaret, Rosa Victoria, Gladys Honor, and Florence Marion.

Mary married Thomas Gaudion in Wandin Yallock. They had 12 children: Dora Mary, Nellie, Thomas William, Edwin, Emily Mabel, Annette Isabel, Martha Victoria, Percival George, Agnes Pearl, Frank Ronald, Ruby Sylvia, and Laurie Basil.

William died aged 12 in 1885.

Robert married Priscilla Blanksby in Wandin Yallock.They had eight children: Elsie Priscilla, William Frederick, Doris Victoria, Anne Millicent, Violet Agnes, Wilhelmina Lillian, John Robert Edwin, and Helena May.

Isabella died as a child.

James married Lily Maud Mary Read in Wandin Yallock. They had 13 children: Mary Eileen Kate, Florence Isabel Emily, Margaret Willamina, Dora Lillian Nelly, Evelyn May, Ethel Hilda, Frederick, William James, Robert Edwin, Arthur Herbert, Thomas Leslie, Ronald, and Ruby Constance.

Edwin married Edith Elizabeth Dike. They had two children: Keith Edwin George and Elma Edith May.

Wilhelmina married Harold Blanksby in  Wandin. They had five children: Alice Wilhelmina, Evelyn Beatrice, Priscilla Emily, Harold William, and Gwen.
